I’m running the latest version of Plex on Nvidia shield tv. I have tried to set up a server multiple times but every time I set it up and log on to plex via web browser I get the following message: “The server “SHIELD Android TV” is unavailable”. But on my shield I can actually access the server, just can’t add any movies to it since plex on my browser doesn’t recognize it. Please help.

Don’t use Microsoft Edge, try a different web browser
Not that, was using Firefox and now Chrome and still getting this problem.
I think it other bug just like DVR live tv as well. I got same problem as well. In fact missed one programme that wanted to record cause of this huge mess up. Really thinking of moving to the alternative media centre now… esp seeing the support on the other thread about the EPG data issue
Honestly I’ve been using Kodi all day and it seems far better. Can’t wait for one of the two plex employees to help me out.
This may be a shot in the dark but, does your shield have ipv6 enabled?
I noticed since upgrading to 1.16.3.1402, I couldn’t access the server from a browser on my local network, but it worked perfectly on my mobile/cellular data. Had to turn off ipv6 on the shield, and local network access worked again.
