For a while now I’ve been experiencing a weird issue in my PMS: Its only fetching partial metadata for newly scanned shows and movies.
As an example, it scans the file properly since the movie is recognised, and title is set properly. However, summary, year etc is not set (no other metadata except title is filled under “General”).
It also (sometimes) fetches a selection of poster and wallpaper candidates, but does not actually apply them - i have to edit each entry and set the image I want.
I think the scanner/agent setup and relationship is utterly confusing, so chances are I have done something wrong here.
My settings:
Movies:
- Library Scanner: Plex Movie Scanner
- Under “Settings -> Agents -> Movies -> Plex Movies” I have “Plex movie” at the top and "Local media assets at the bottom
TV shows:
- Library agent: TheTVDB
- Under “Settings -> Agents -> Shows -> TheTVDB” I have “TheTVDB” at the bottom, and “The Movie Database” at the bottom
If anyone can point me in the direction of what may be wrong, that would be greatly appreciated.
I see no errors or similar in the logs.
I have library set to update automatically and periodically. “Refresh metadata” per item (movie/show) does nothing.
