PMS Scan 100% CPU for hours with 10 songs

Server Version#:latest, just downloaded
Player Version#:latest, just downloaded for PS4

Windows 7 Pro I7-4790@3.6Ghz 16GB memory, SSD C drive, no Plex Pass

Long story, but just recently trying Plex for my new PS4 which I might not have bought if I had known it’s media server sucks. No problems for years using UMS with PS3, but after the PS4, ANY pause, FF, or backup either kills the server or triggers a audio desync that requires power down to fix. So after reading about how all your loyal Plex fans say they have no such problems, I decided to try it out. First pass I added about 10 tv episodes. Voila! It resolved all the PS4 media server issues and was wonderful. I was thrilled.

So then I tried adding my library of 10,000 odd song titles. After 10+ hours of overnite 100% cpu with little disk activity after about an hour or two, I killed it and read up on the blogs and started over. Uninstalled and reinstalled.

I created a test Music folder with about 20 song titles and some album art, turned off the volume analysis and let Plex loose on it. 3-4 hours later, it’s STILL running 100% CPU, although it’s been up and down from 12.5 (1 of 8 cores) to 100% and all over, but never no CPU. For 20 songs. All of which show in the dashboard, but Plex is still cranking away. Yet I read some people use this for 20,000 title libraries and love it. Something bad is wrong, and I REALLY want to start to love Plex, becase it solves my video issues with UMS and the PS4.

Where should I go from here? I found a number of blogs about high CPU usage, but nothing that stood out as a solution for my situation. Do I need to get into figuring out where all the logs are, deeper debugging and such? Or might there be somebody that can suggest a simple fix or easy things to try.

Any help will be appreciated.

Forgot to mention something that might be a clue to somebody. Before the reinstall and 20 song test I switched from no paging file to a 8GB paging file. It managed to eat all available real memory and the 8GB paging file. I really don’t want to wear out my SSD, can the library it’s building be relocated to my 2TB HDD?

Can you provide the entire log package from PMS? About what time was the last scan?
