Server Version: PMS 1.21.1.3830 (Linux Server)
Player Version: Plex for Windows 1.25.0.1511-47afccd4
Plex is not reading any subtitles any more. Nothing changed in the library. Everything was working so well. Each movie with your normal and forced subtitle. All of them following Plex rules with srt files in UTF-8 and nomenclature rules. Permissions and ownership is right too. Literally, nothing had changed. But, I updated Plex Media Server, and now all subtitles were gone. Plex doesn’t show subtitles for any movie. Even to movies where subtitles were working.
Need DEBUG (not VERBOSE) log files ZIP which captures this happening.
Okay, @ChuckPa I followed the steps:
- Enable debug log;
- Restart PMS;
- Add the following media
A.Herdeira.2016.720p.BluRay.5.1.x264.DUAL-BLUDV.mkv with the subtitle file A.Herdeira.2016.720p.BluRay.5.1.x264.DUAL-BLUDV.srt in the same folder;
- Download the logs.
In zip file, there are all logs updated after PMS restart. No subtitle was recognized or even read.
(File removed)
I know what’s wrong after read logs. In Settings > Agents I found Local Media Assets (Movies) was not set. Probably when updated I lost this settings. Then, I turned on, and now Plex is reading subtitles as has to be.
I did a test. I locked fields on random movies, without editing those fields, just locked. Some days later, the fields turned back to original state as not locked. In my opinion for some reason, Plex refreshes some movies excluding any changes on it.
