I have got my ISP to turn off CgNAT and i can port-forward, UPnP is turned on, Relay is off, Firewall is off but no matter the device and version i cant get this to work and this is with direct playing and NO trans-coding, it worked maybe 2 weeks ago with no issues and now suddenly it cant send enough data to support remote viewing, speed-test shows 900/900 connection from server, and the server is whitelisted and have a static IP internally, everything works internally but nothing remote works and i have tried 4 different devices at different internet connections with 1000/1000 available and i have restarted everything multiple times and tried different IP’s internally with no effect, and suddenly PMS doesnt see the GPU in my server even when its in QTS mode.
Everything is set to maximum speeds and quality, server is ts-873a from Qnap.
Im currently super lost and i have tried the Basic remote troubleshooting and nothing has worked, i hope the logs shows something…
Plex Media Server Logs_2024-03-29_23-11-15.zip (6.3 MB)
Looks like your server / QNAP cannot resolve the URL plex.tv – maybe you can double-check your DNS
Google DNS (8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4) should do; I guess cloudflare will too
Sadly still same issue on both google and cloud flare, 1-2Mbps upload only and constant buffering ![]()
also the dashboard inside of plex that shows bandwidth does not show any progress when its set at “Real time” even when playling locally or remotely, its just at 0bps constantly, which is super weird since this wasnt a problem until i upgraded to 1.40
Not sure if this is related.
As for your server being unable to resolve plex.tv… did you check if the QNAP is configured to use a different DNS? Are there any other „security features“ or blockers on the NAS or router that could interfere with the host name resolution?
The DNS the QNAP uses is the same as the router, firewall settings didnt change a thing from disabled to enabled, there arent any specific security things enabled on the QNAP that should interfere with anything, and i have tried disabling and enabling stuff with no effect, i dont know what else to do, i have even tried connecting the server directly to the fiber boks with no change, and im using the provided modem in bridge mode to a asus TUF-AX3000 V2 and nothing changes if i use one over the other, and i can easily connect to plex from the server if i use the browser station.

Is it possible that its a PMS issue and i have to reinstall the whole app or a general server issue that requires me to use its warranty?
Is there any chance your internet provider pushed a firmware update to your modem that kicked it out of bridge mode? A double NAT would cause what you are seeing.
Nope, they don’t do that, it happened before I put it in bridge mode ![]()
So you confirmed that it didn’t happen by looking at the IP assigned to your router?
that + i have connected to it
