Just wondering why my music library does not show up.
I wondered this too, I think there should probably be a separate PLEX in the Music selection on the Xbox360, but there isn't one yet?

The idea of having a Plex App for the Xbox was enough for me to buy a lifetime pass. Waiting for the 360 app might have giving me to much time to anticipate how it all would look. I was hoping for a interface / display closer to either the web interface or androids.
I have a 55" TV and a projector so plenty
of space to view more than 1 row when browsing the libraries.
When navigating a TV shows specific season folder the individual episode either show the series title or Season and Episode number. I have to be constantly looking down to the bottom corner for the rest of the information, either actual episode name or number depending on what is shown on the thumbnail. I really like the web / android interface where you get the show name and episode number right below the thumbnail or on the bottom of the thumbnail.
The continuous need to be connected to xbox live. I live in the country with limited monthly download before my provider cuts my speed to a crawl and each time live disconnects playback stops on the app. Even Xbox changed the requirement for a full time connection.
Does the app need anything special besides what the server provides like xbmc formated metadata ? I use SickRage to sort and rename episode, no extra metadata is downloaded besides the default.
For now I’m undecided about how happy I’m with the 360 App, maybe future updates will change my mind, so back to playing by dlna where I find the series navigation on my TV to be quicker and easier even without episode thumbnails.

Not satisfied. Can't find my local plex servers (any of them). Trying port forwarding on my WAN port (not sure why that is even required!) and all is still failing. Absolutely no diagnostic information, just "server not found".

I've read reports of people having to kill and restart the Plex Media Server. I just restarted my desktop after installing the newest Plex Pass Version (You did grab the newest version, right?).
I've also read some people having to sign back out and in to the app on the 360... Just a couple suggestions.

I had the same issues, with the main resolution being opening up the WAN and port forwarding. You can check whether you've got this right on the server. Go to Settings> Server> Connect> Show Advanced and the few couple of setting show whether you're signed in and importantly in this case whether you can stream from outside of your home network. You need to get this working first and then work on getting the 360 connected. At least this show you whether the port forwarding is correct, which is needed for the 360.
I can actually get the connection to the server but play nothing without buffering beyond that which I'm talking to the devs about.

The interface is pretty snappy for me on a remote library, but I get constant errors during playback indicating that the app could not communicate with the server. I'll try to get some screen shots today.
The lack of subtitle support makes it pretty much unusable for me.
Also, booting up the Xbox, selecting a user, connecting to Xbox Live, then launching Plex, takes nearly 2 minutes and is too much of a hassle. Rasplex (for example) takes less than 20 seconds to boot up.

Just fired up a Rise of the Planet of the Apes MKV last night. Played fine, and the subtitles worked just great. In order for your subtitles to work, the movie files must have a *.srt file with the same name, if I'm not mistaken.
Not entirely satisfied but I do find it a good start. I'm a long time user of PHT and won't be stopping using that any time soon! The thing that bothers me is that the picture quality just doesn't seem as good as watching on PHT connected to the same TV. I know the app defaults to 4mbit 720p but comparing like for like my PHT box just looks better, regardless of if I drop PHT to match at 4mbit or boost the xbox 360 settings.
I wonder if this is related to my xbox being very old and not having an HDMI connection but instead it hooks up via the component video port?
The interface I can see would be great if you had never experienced something else, but I guess I just love the clean look of PHT too much and fanart seems somewhat underused on xbox. I also don't like how you can't press left/right on the TV show pre-play screen to change episode, but this is a minor issue that I feel is sure to be changed in an update.
I'm really keen to see this on xbox one and would love to think that xbox one plex could mean that I could remove one box from under my TV, but if this version is anything to go on, that won't happen.
All that being said though, I think this is awesome for the spare room which is where my 360 is heading very soon!!

Don't count on it, apple would rather you use itunes home share to stream personal content. I will beleive it if we see it, and i doubt we will. If apple does offer an app store for apple tv it will likley be very limited for development and MUCH harder to get an app approved then the itunes app store. I also dont see an app store being offered ether, at least for a few years yet.

I agree its very unlikely in the short term that we will get an app store for the Apple TV. However, Apple isn't stupid either. There is a lot of media players, such as nexus tv and Fire TV, out there now and most if not all have app stores and plex being one of the more popular apps. So we shouldn't count Apple out of the game in terms of this just yet.
The biggest problem is the Plex Menu items never go away during a movie. It seems my "B" button functionality is lost. Plus I can't skip forward... only backward but it doesn't matter since there's no way I'm going to watch a movie with the menus on screen.

Me too! Media remote that it.
Did some tests yesterday - it seems the transcoder has some issues. There is only a smooth playback on DVD-Material (mpeg) but in horrible picture quality - dosnt matter if 4Mbit 720 or Maximum.
And always starts with this 4MBit/720p setting - strange.
Also the Error “could not found server” - came up at start and during playback.
Not happy with this app yet!

I thought it was weird no one else had reported this from what I could find. I've uninstalled/reinstalled several times but just this morning I discovered the cache and that I could delete it! Oddly the download is taking much longer which is ok by me I guess, maybe it's just my internet.
