Port 32400 open, mapped, and verified -- but Plex says it's unreachable

My Plex server Version 1.9.4.4325 runs normally. I’ve mapped tcp port 32400 to my server and allowed it through the firewall. I can verify that it’s open from outside networks with the “Open Port Check Tool” at https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ and by telnet 32400.

But the Plex Remote Access feature says:
Not available outside your network
Your server is signed in to Plex, but is not reachable from outside your network.

When I access it remotely, it tells me that it’s not being accessed directly, but through Plex relay.

The Plex server is the only thing mapped to that port, so there’s no conflict. How can I make it directly reachable from outside?

having same problem, about to drive me mad…

please note mine is windows 10 not mac

have you been through all the steps found here? The FAQ has saved me several times. Especially the double NAT checking. Remember check computer, router, and possibly the modem.

find you public IP address and put it into your internet browser and add :32400

I’ve just moved home and needed to set up plex on a new router (new isp) and this allowed me to get it working

This maybe preferable.

I only needed to do it once then it showed the remote connection green

Hi,
This is a bug right?
I just had the same issue. Tried to access through the browser (as stated here) and then came back to the server to active remote access and worked.
