Possible fix for some Remote access issues with the new release

I found that I was having difficulty getting the remote connection reestablished after upgrading to the 1.0.0.2261 release for PMS.

Note: This only works for UPnP capable routers.

What I ended up doing was:

  1. Disable remote access under the PMS server settings
  2. Open my router firewall page and remove all of the rules added by the plex server.
  3. Enable remote access under the PMS server settings.
  4. Wait 5 minutes for route tables to update

After this it worked fine.

May work for you or it may not but it’s worth a try.
