I’m in New Zealand. I record various programs off live tv, most of them are fine. I’m having an issue though whereby one program (The Block NZ: Firehouse) always matches up to the Australian version of The Block. I know that I can add in the NZ version at thetvdb.com, but I don’t want to do that
My question therefore is - is it possible to somehow set just one program NOT to match? I can go and “Unmatch” it and then it shows correctly, but no matter how often I do this it gets matched again.
Any suggestions would be great - thanks in advance!
When I’m getting a consistent mismatch, I Fix Match, then leave at least one episode… subsequent additions know where they need to be as long as I don’t start over - or the EPG guys don’t start calling it something else.
That’s actually amazing it does that. I have never had plex rematch an item after I unmatched it. I remember a post on the very topic of what the unmatch command does.
Ahh. here we go…
Must be something new or is specific to DVR or something special/unique you are doing.
@NewPlaza - I’ve just had a read through the thread you linked to, I’ve tried the Match -> Personal Media thing, I’ll see what happens, hopefully that will keep it unmatched, but it’s very difficult to tell. It still has the “Match” option available so it feels like it will end up getting matched again. I’ll let you know how it goes.
The unmatch command is rather interesting, isn’t it? I mean, why have it, only to have plex match it incorrectly again(as in your case).
I mean, can you follow the logic here. I(the user) say this is incorrect, so I unmatch it, then later on plex re-matches it again behind my back to yet the same incorrect match. Why plex made a command that fights with the users. Funny stuff.
he forgot to specifically mention Fix incorrect match. It will only effect that one show not the rest of your library. if you just do unmatch it will try to match it next time there is a full library scan.
For that particular show do a Fix Incorrect match then in the window pick Search Options and change the agent to Personal Media Shows . Click search and pick whever i says as a search result. the only thing that agent (if local media assets is enabled) will do is grab embedded metadata if it is there.
Thanks. It’s not quite working for me the way it does in your screenshots, but it may still work overall.
This is what I’m doing/seeing:
Selecting option Fix Match...
In Search Options I change from Auto Match and select Personal Media Shows and as soon as I select that option the window closes, I don’t get the chance to do a search
If I then bring up the menu for the show, I still have a Match... option
match does same as fix incorrect match just for things that are not matched yet.
What browser are you using? In chrome at least. there is a weird bug where if you let go of the mouse while the cursor is not over window it will close window. like if you select text then let go when not over window
Hmm. it should change IMO but just tried it and it does not. will bring that up to folks
when you look at the xml for an episode (get info>View XML) you can see what agent it was match with by the GUID towards the top.
guid="com.plexapp.agents.themoviedb://39551/1/1?lang=en" is matched against TheMovieDB guid="com.plexapp.agents.none://42924/1/1?lang=xn" is matched against Personal Media Shows
when just like guid="local://46518" means it was not matched at all because it could not find a match
Thanks for the information - that’s really useful! I can see that mine has matched to guid=“com.plexapp.agents.none://43802/8/24?lang=xn”.
So that’s looking really good. I’ve got a bunch of programs where they have matched to shows with similar names, so I’ll go and do this for them as well!
