I’m curious how the popular tracks list is handled. Does it just go by track name and find the first instance of that track by that artist in the library? The reason I ask if from time to time it will play a live or other alternate version instead of the original studio version. For example, most of the popular tracks from The Cranberries plays the version off the 2017 acoustic album. Not a huge deal, but if there is any tweaking that could be done I would appreciate it.
Last.fm is the source of the data. The matching is somewhat fuzzy, hence why sometimes it mismatches.
Gotcha. I can see how that can be difficult to get the exact match. I wonder if pulling the oldest album or track date that is a potential match in the library would give the studio version most often? I’m probably overlooking a bunch of other things that would cause issues with though.
