I am having a similar issue with the posters. On a laptop, they show up in portrait just fine, but are showing up as landscape and therefore cropped on the ROKU-3 units in the house. Agent is set to PLEX Movie, so not sure what else could be the issue.
Can you please post the Plex app version and Plex Media Server version you have installed? Also, a photo of what you’re seeing on the Roku would be very helpful too.

Sorry I got tied up with other things 
. The server version I am running is 1.18.3.2156. Here is a picture of what it looks like on the ROKU3.
According to the plex app on the ROKU it looks like it is version 6.4b9 updated on 12/12/2019. The problem started several months ago, so what ever is the issue, it has been doing it for a while.
Ok, Just because you were asking, I went ahead and “removed” the channel from the ROKU, restarted it, and then added the channel back in. After entering all the sign in information, the posters are now showing up like they should, so it appears that there is something in the plex app that cause it, and the only way to fix it was to remove and reinstall the channel.
At least they are now fixed!
