Posters available for selection turn blank when set

Greetings,
I’m using Plex Media Server on ShieldTV and I get this issue on Chrome, Edge, Android, iPad, ShieldTV and FireTV players.
If I select Edit and Posters for a movie, I can see lots of posters. However, for many of them, once I select a poster, the poster displayed becomes blank. These should be from wherever plex gets them as i’m not using local media resources.
The media files are stored on my NAS.
