Plex player: All show this behaviour from browser to the one on my Samsung TV to my Android Phone.
2 weeks (or so) ago all my movies have been identified and have posters
This past week I have noticed that some movies and TV shows are showing just a black box for the posters. Each day there seems to be a few more.
When I manually refresh the metadata the poster is now just a frame grab from the movie or TV show and not the actual poster.
How do I fix this? I haven’t changed any settings recently.
I have rebooted the Shield and my router and it has not fixed the issue.
Looked at the console while refreshing meta data of a movie and saw these errors (there are others as well)

Looking at the Metadata/Movies folder I see no other folders nor could I create one from my laptop.
I did rename the Movies folder and then created a new Movies folder in the Metadata directory and refreshed meta data of a movie and it worked. It created directories and was able to add the data.
Not sure what happened here.
So something seems to have happend with my external drive and the metadata folder (the local one is fine).
Should I just attach my shields external drive to my laptop and thenrun some chkdsk commands on it to try and fix things or is there a better/recommended way?
Ended up running chkdsk on the drive and it fixed a bunch of folder issues. It looks like some files where lost though (scrolling through what chkdsk did) as posters where still missing so ended up just refreshing the entire libraries metadata (which works fine now).
