Posters not displaying for all movies

Server 4.34.4#:

My server has suddenly changed the majority of my movies to use what looks like thumbnails generated from the movies. I have switched off the option in the advanced section of the library properties and also used the “Delete Preview Thumbnails” option, all to no avail. I have tried rescanning all meta data also. Not sure what to try next, any ideas ?

Did you recently move the location of the Plex data folder to a different drive?
If so, is this drive

  • locally attached to the server
  • formatted with the NTFS file system
  • not pooled with “DrivePool” or “Windows Storage Spaces”
    ?
    All three must be true.

These are a different type of thumbnails and have nothing to do with the poster.

OK, I just assumed this was where it was getting them from.
