Lots of movie posters are disappearing and just showing a still from movie. The match is still correct and if I manually go into edit the movie I can click on poster and there are some to pick from. I can pick a poster and save and get the poster back but there are too many movies having this problem to manually do that. I refreshed my library - did not work. I suspect an update may have caused this but I’m not sure how to get to load up posters.
Sounds like you might have installed the PMS beta version 1.40.1.8111 which had an issue with using thumbs as posters. Plex have since removed the related feature/fix with PMS 1.40.1.8120.
NOTE: The following was removed due to unintended side effects for some users: “(Thumbnails) Thumbnails were not properly updated when underlying file changed (#14688) ”
After posting this I did see the other threads. The only fix is to roll back db or run a script?
Or to update to the newer version
I am on PMS 1.40.1.8173 and still have the issue. Refreshing metadata doesn’t fix it. The only thing that seems to work is to press the pencil icon and pick artwork from the list. What other options are there for fixing this?
