I have used plex for several years and signed up for the plex pass yesterday. I added about 50gb of music to my library yesterday but when I try to use plex mix or mood listening there is no option available. Does this take some time to become available after creating a library or am I just missing something obvious?
With 50GB of music, I’d say your plex server is not finished adding the music to your server. This can take days in a Premium music library.
Plus, if you don’t follow the Artist - Album - Tracks folder schema, indexing with Gracenote’s algorithms may fail and thus, no mood or plex mix will be available.
If you run PMS on FreeBSD or FreeNAS, the premium features won’t work at all.
I’d say: start small.
Create a premium music library and add only one artist with a few albums. Make sure the files are organised according to this or maybe this.
