Prerolls only start playing 1-3 seconds after movie start

I’m on the NVidia Shield Plex player app and have my PMS locally on PC. I’ve noticed (along with a few of my subscribers) that whenever they select a movie to play, it’ll start very quickly but then after a second or two the preroll finally plays…then the movie starts over again. Any fix to this?

And I feel like it’s maybe that the playlist of these two items doesn’t get generated until right after the movie starts. Might oddly work better if my computer and/or connection was slower.
