Prevent unauthorized access to Plex

I had a friend round who has his own plex media server set-up, but when he connected to my home network he was able to access all libraries on my plex media server. Is there a security setting that would prevent this? I would only want someone to be able to access libraries that I have shared with them regardless if they are on my network.

By default the local network is deemed a trusted network
