Hello,
I got a plex pass and I run a plex media server on it.
Now what bothers me is the following:
If my family would like to access my media on their mobile they need plex pass subscription. Sure they could use the one-time purchase but then offline sync is disabled which is logically most important on mobile. So this makes it impractical for music and stuff.
I know you need to charge money and I am willing to pay for your dev but consider the price
if a family would liike to use plex at full potential it would cost them at least 160 per year if it is a family of 4.
If it is a family of 6 it would be 240.
Deezer is 180 for 6 people.
Just wanted to point out that there is a little mismatch in my feeling
I am looking forward to your thoughts
Freaky, not sure why you think that offline sync wont work for your users, if the users buy the app and as long as you keep a plex pass going on your server they can all sync. You have to make sure the shares to the users is setup to allow that though. Also, if you dont want to buy the app for each of your family members, you could also just invite them into your Plex Home and sign in with your account on their devices (this is ideal if you are using it for a family inside your home).
Only the server admin needs a Plex Pass, and then only if you use the features that a Pass gives you, such as Plex Home (managed users) syncing, trailers and the rest.
The other users only need to one-time purchase client apps for mobile devices, such as phones and tablets. Other client apps like Smart TV’s and games consoles shouldn’t need them to purchase them, unless the app is a Preview Only.
So the one-time for a smart phone (android or iOS) is what, $5 and is good for the lifetime of the account that the purchase was made on. I have several users that bought the app and don’t even have a PMS machine themselves. They connect to my server to stream media.
As a PlexPass subscriber you can also enable Plex Home
Plex Home allows you to set up a group of users that all use Plex together. For instance, there might be a family of users (parents and children) that all use Plex on various devices connected to the same Plex Media Server in their house.
With Plex Home enabled you can give your family free access (up to 15 users) to the mobile Plex Apps. Doing this your family does not have to do the one-time purchase of the mobile apps
Plex Pass Benefits
Members of a Plex Home receive most benefits of a Plex Pass subscription. This means that members of the Home—whether a Managed User or a regular Plex Account—can make use of Plex Pass features based on the admin’s Plex Media Server.
For example, once the admin account of the Plex Home (or another non-Managed User member) signs in to a Plex app to activate it, it’s possible to quickly switch to any other member of that Plex Home. This can be used to provide members of the Home free access to Plex apps that a subscription brings, for instance.

Then I understood it completely wrong.
If only a onetime purchase is required and one can still have sync, then I fully appreciate
