Remote access is not working for the several days on my system. The host system to PMS is not double-NAT’d and not a docker or virtual machine. Nevertheless I’m getting a private non-routable address. AND it says Fully Accessible. (not true). Every once in a while, I’ll refresh the page and get the public address but still don’t get remote access.
Private 192.168.1.112 : 32400 Public 172.17.0.1 : 42300 Internet
My actual IP is 97.x.x.x.

Why is it like this and even more important, how do I fix it?

Replying to my own post. About an hour(?) after I posted the above, the address strangely changed to the public one.

Larry

This was a problem with Plex last night that they have just fixed this morning. Check this post

Its a shame that Plex dont make it more obvious when they are having a problem and when it is fixed. Any other online service worth its salt has a status page or at least an update thread in the forums!

They do have a status site here: https://status.plex.tv/

But it does not really provide much in the way of detail…

I had never seen that page! Thankyou for pointing me in its direction.

However, as you point out last nights remote access outage wasnt even reported there :frowning:
