Probably redundant question about family logins

I’m finding it difficult to locate a solid answer about this. How can I allow my kids to connect to our Plex server without using my official and personal Plex.tv account, both in the house and outside of it?

2 options:

  1. give them their own accounts and share your content with them (individual accounts per user)
  2. establish a Plex Home and create Managed Users for them (same account, different users) – here’s an example

Create a regular (free) account on plex.tv (needs separate email address)
Invite this account into your Plex Home.

Your kids can then use the credentials of this account to login on the devices.
Then they can ‘Switch User’ to their respective managed user accounts.

If they are using the Plex Web client, make sure that the browser doesn’t delete ‘Cookies’ from the plex.tv domain.
Then enable the client preference ‘Automatic logon’, so the last logged on user account gets restored when the client is restarted.
