I’ve been trying to load the Marvel Netflix shows onto Plex, but am having trouble. The Daredevil series appears without problem. All of the other shows appear briefly when I scan the folders but after a couple of minutes they disappear again. As far as I can see all of the shows are labelled correctly and in the same format as Daredevil, But I can’t get them to stay in the library.
Folder structure is \Video\Superheroes\Marvel Universe\TV\Netflix Series\Marvel’s Luke Cage (2016)\Season 01
It was originally just Luke Cage but I changed it to Marvel’s Luke cage as an attempt to see if that would fix the issue.
Naming format is Luke Cage - S01E01 - Moment of Truth.mkv
As a side note, you might save lots of headache naming things in the future by using the program FileBot. Automatically names things in a way that Plex expects to see it.
Looking at your folder structure, I’m wondering if it’s a bit long if Plex is looking at the top level. Just a thought.
I’m gonna bet that the library path is \Video\Superheroes\Marvel Universe\TV which is what is confusing plex. Having a intermediate directory of Netflix Series just confuses Plex, and Im betting all the shows are being lumped together. Fixing the folder structure and doing the plex dance should take care of this.
And it seems like you’re right. I moved all of the folders up a level and Plex has immediately picked everything up. Simple solution that completely escaped my brain.
Just an FYI you should never add a folder <seriesname> to your plex library. You should point plex to TV and use TV\<seriesname> or some variation of that. (if that makes sense)
