Server Version#: 1.18.9.2571
I am trying to add a music library on my NAS, when updating I get a message that the server do not have contact with internet…All files are on the server and all other files such as movies, pictures and tv-series works fine why is this?
I need the DEBUG logs please (not VERBOSE), which capture this.
Would you please be able to recreate / make certain the problem is captured in the logs and then download & attach the log ZIP please?
I’ll look at what is happening.
Plex Media Server Logs_2020-03-30_19-00-41.zip (3.6 MB)
Could this be helpful?
Absolutely! I found it.
PMS thinks it’s signed into your account.
Plex.tv has different access tokens and denying access.
Did you recently change the password?
Is there a proxy involved?

I did move the server from a mac to a NAS what do I need to change?
Did you use one of my How-To’s or did you use someone else’s ?
There are a few things you need to change after moving from different platforms.
Ok, I havn’t seen them, where can I fond them?
The Syno FAQ.
It’s in my signature or you can simply search for “Syno FAQ”.
Read through.
If there is nothing applicable, we’ll figure out a way
In a nutshell,
- Owner/group must flip over (for everything)
- We might need to have it forget you own it and reclaim it.
Run through your FAQ and can’t ANT good tip how can U reclaim the server?
I have written this for worst case. It will likely only need through step 16 but I’ve provided everything just in case.
- Install the Synology Text Editor app (in Package Center - Search)
- Stop Plex
- In your web browser, app.plex.tv
- Settings - Authorized Devices - Servers (drop down)
- Remove the Synology (we will make it appear again in a minute)
- Sign out of Plex/web (upper right corner)
- Open File Station
- Plex share / Library / Application Support / Plex Media Server
- Right - click “Preferences.xml” -> Open in Text editor.
- Very carefully, remove,
a.PlexOnlineToken="-value-"
b.PlexOnlineUsername="-value-"
c.PlexOnlineMail="-value-"
d.PlexOnlineHome="value" - Save the file.
- Right-click Preferences.xml again and make certain it is still owned by
plex - Start Plex
- Back in your browser - Open an Incognito window
- Open http://ip.addr.of.syno:32400/web
- It will ask you to sign in again
- Expect the “Got It” message and “We Found a new server”.
- The setup wizard is also likely to start. We will SKIP through this.
- Do not create any new library sections. All your existing media still is there.
- Continue forward until you FINISH and get to the dashboard.
- You’re done.
Thank you all is working again
