Problem with delayed playback of DVR'd programs

Plex DVR not allowing delayed starting playback
This problem has been going on for approximately a month.
I’m up-to-date on latest version of Plex Media Server - version 1.16.3.1402.

Here’s what’s happening (on PC which hosts Plex Media Server)

  1. Setup program to be recorded - say 7pm - 2 hour program 7pm-9pm
  2. Plex guide shows program is being recorded
  3. Go to guide at 8pm to playback program from beginning (at 7pm)
  4. Expectation is that Plex asks whether to play from program start, or from current time point.
  5. Plex DOES NOT give me that option - Plex will only begin playback from current time

I’m also getting the same result when playing through Plex app on Roku

  1. Roku shows program being recorded on guide interface
  2. Click on program to play
  3. Roku displays prompt asking if play from start or from current time point
  4. Playback always starts from current time point despite that I choose start from beginning.

It appears the problem is with the PMS on the PC where it is hosted since I get same result whether I play the program on hosting PC or Roku.
