Problem with DVR - Where to go for help?

I recently bought a SHIELD TV, a Plex lifetime pass, and a HDHomeRun, and I’m having two issues.

  1. I can’t watch recorded shows on my android devices (Samsung phones, NVIDIA tablet). I get an error about conversions failing and codecs not being found or installed.

  2. Even when watching on the TV the SHIELD TV is connected to, watching recorded shows is often interrupted with a “lost connection to Plex server” error, which is extra ridiculous considering the SHIELD TV is the server.

Any help you can give? I know the DVR is still in beta, but it’s basically unusable to me with those two errors.
