Live TV Error

I am using the Plex Player on my Nvidia Shield and have all updates installed. Plex server with DVR if fully functional on a PC. When I try to access it and play live TV I get the error “Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost. Please ensure the server is available and retry.”

Server is available and verified with web browser from a PC. Nvidia, and Plex server with DVR are on same local network with wired connection. What could be the cause of this?

Update. Seems to work at first, then change channel, it still works, change channel third time, then error starts. Even going back to previous channels still don’t work. Wait awhile and same thing. Its like after the second channel selection, Plex looses connection to HDHomerun tuners until the are released. Don’t have this problem with HDHomerun app on the computer.

Would need logs to see what is going on - A connection to the device by another app may result in Plex Media Server getting a failure - so make sure the device is used by Plex Media Server only. Are you doing any recordings / viewing on the device outside of Plex?

I have also experienced this. Running PMS on Win 10 machine (3.2GHz dual core) and client on nVidia Shield TV. Restarting PMS and client usually fixes it.
