Problem with FLAC tags (local metadata)

2 - FLAC with empty Album Artist tag = ???
3 - MP3 with edited Album Artist tag = Perfect!
4 - FLAC with edited Album Artist tag = not full multivalue fields (main problem)

I use foobar2000 to manage my large music collection, so it is very important for me that local metadata is picked up without any problems.

P.S: I am very surprised to see this. I have been following the development of Plex Media Server for many years. I wanted to organize my collection and buy PlexPass, but I see that it is still raw and not reliable. I see that developers still ignore community requests (hello from “tv series extras”). My media collection is still waiting. And I’m still sad.

It’s a disaster at this point. Maybe check back in 6 months.

I’ve been using Foobar for my massive audio collection, a lot of which is concert bootlegs, and I’m trying to ramp up my use of Plex so i can share my collection and also access it while I’m at work. Unfortunately, getting Plex to recognize the tags I’ve already been pretty meticulous about managing, has been . . . . frustrating.

I’m a little confused as FLAC is nothing new at all and is pretty widely adoptd.
