Problem with linking Tidal

I bought a Tidal subscription through Plex, and linked my Tidal account. I can listen to music if I log directly into my Tidal account on Tidal.com, but anytime I try to go through any Plex player it says my account isn’t linked. However, it is linked and I already tried re-linking it and it is the same email as my Plex account, if that matters.

Does anyone know why this is and/or how to fix it?

The only things I can think of that might be causing hiccups is the TLD (.family) of my email address sometimes makes weird things happen on other sites. Also about two months ago I did a 30 day trial of Tidal through Plex with another Tidal account linked to my Plex account. However, since then I had cancelled the Tidal subscription unlinked the account with Plex and then linked my new Tidal account with Plex a month later and bought the Tidal subscription.

It seems to have worked itself out. It took about 24 hours and it just started to work on my android Plex app for some reason. I guess patience was all I needed.

Nope… Nevermind it’s just a different kind of weird stuff. Now its back to the “preview” mode like I don’t have a Tidal subscription. So I re authorized the Tidal account on Plex and it went back to the “No content available for this Library”

Here is a Screenshot of the error it gives on the web app. Its generally the same message across any of the clients.

This is one crazy rollercoaster. Now it works as expected on my cell, but the web app shows the “Preview” mode (See attached screenshot).

Ok so it works on Android and Windows clients correctly now, but not on Linux clients. So imma just chalk this up to Linux problems with DRM. Imma try to upgrade my membership to Hifi and see what happens. I remember reading something on Tidal awhile back that might make the difference.

Yup that fixed it on the Linux clients. I remembered reading somewhere on Tidals site that DRM isn’t needed for Hifi. I could be full of sh**, but hey all i did was upgrade my account and now it works on linux clients so there is some correlation.
