So I’ve finally made the jump and got subscribed to Tidal through Plex. I’m running through the 30 day trial and Plex tells me the service is linked. But all songs are preview, I can’t access ‘My Tidal’ or ‘My Tidal Playlists’ which both give me a generic error message “There was an unexpected error loading this library”.
I’ve tried to re-authorize Tidal to Plex which states it succeeded but still gives me the same issues, unlinking also doesn’t work. I’ve tried to repair my installation of PMS, even uninstalling it, but nothing seems to work…
I’m really out of ideas, does anyone else know of a possible solution?

I was having the same issues after linking a TIDAL subscription to Plex. I know you’ve said you’ve already re-linked and also completely un-linked your TIDAL account, but I was finally able to get it to work and un-linking and re-linking was what finally worked for me (even though I had previously done those steps).
I make sure you’re updated to the latest version of PMS. Then and completely un-link your TIDAL account and then re-link it again. I would advise refreshing the web app and see what happens then.
I’m having exactly the same problem.
TIDAL HiFi subscriber. Switched over my subscription to Plex Lifetime Pass today. Have tried every / multiple combinations of logging devices out / in / linking and unliking Tidal, but still only see Tidal on PREVIEW mode on all my devices (web, AppleTV, iPad, iPhone, and various Web Clients).
My account shows as Plex Lifetime + Tidal HIFI.
I tried unlinking and refreshing so many times. Does anyone have a reliable solution that will fix this? It CANNOT simply be trial and error until is starts working…
Exact same issue. I’ve had Plex for years and barely a problem…sometimes some songs would skip from TIDAL, but today ALL skipped and now having same issue here. >:-(
I have the same issue as all of you. I have unlinked, relinked, reset, logged out, logged in, baked a turkey… I want to upgrade to a lifetime sub, but that’s completely contingent on Tidal working.
Yeah same issue here. Plex suddenly stopped playing Tidal tracks this morning, so I tried to re-link the account, and now I’m stuck in Preview as well no matter what I do.
Until today have had 0 problem with TIDAL subscription. But today it was converted to a TRIAL version. Still logging on via TIDAL.com, it works just fine. Tried to relink as well, but didn’t help at all.
Getting only previews, although, I signed up yesterday for the TIDAL PREMIUM (Music & Podcasts). Prviously I haven’t had any Plex subscription. So probably it’s my fault. I usually bring misfortune everywhere… HAHAHA, and now on a serious note, I tried (without any success):
Unlink and re-link my Tidal account,
log out and log in to Plex,
Listen to music in Plex app on Windows 10 and in Browser,
still getting only PRVIEWS…
I’ll wait until the end of the week, if there is no improvement I’ll close my account.
Once marked as resolved by Plex a few hours ago, I still had to unlink and re-link my account one more time, after which it started working across all my devices. It refused to do so, even after it the issue showed as resolved, until I did the linking shuffle.
