Player Version#: latest

Hi, my server works fine until today, i think the plex certificate was renewed and assign to me a bad ssl certificate:

Like you can see in the image, the token after my server ip address don’t match, so the connection is not safe…

How can i fix this? thanks!

How did you open the web app?
Does the same happen if you close the web browser, open it up again and then you go to app.plex.tv ?

I noticed you created a new plex server today. Did you assign it the same local IP address like your old server had?

this morning server works fine, this afternoon server does not work, so i restart the server, reboot the machine, etc. And i enter to localhost:32400 and i don’t know why, the server says is new server :S, but i reload the page and the first setup page dissapears. I don’t know why.

I tried with incognito mode, and with desktop windows player app and didn’t work. i also try with app.plex.tv

And i try to reinstall PMS (without deleting old PMS), just like and update, and not working.

Try this procedure: https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/

i already do that.

And i also use this https://github.com/ukdtom/ClaimIt

Not working.

when i restart the server i get this error:

Oct 26, 2019 18:51:03.295 [0x774036dfe700] DEBUG - HTTP requesting POST http://127.0.0.1:32600/devices/discover

Oct 26, 2019 18:51:03.297 [0x774036dfe700] DEBUG - DVR:Grabber: Failed to retrieve device data

ok, i solve the problem.

1º Stop the PMS Server.
2º Do backup of /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Preferences.xml
3º Delete Preferences.xml
4º Star PMS again, enter to 127.0.0.1:32400/web and just setup the server

With this, i didn’t lose any library data, the database file didn’t changes and the server is the same that before stop works.

thanks for all!

A wrong port of 32600 may have been the issue here. It should be 32400.

Hi, I am a newbe to Plex, but have the same problem as you, so i deleted the Preferences.xml, restarted PMS Server, restarted my Synology NAS and still have no connection and as far as I can see I have the same client certificate (didn’t write the old one down) as before, but with a new timestamp.
What have I misunderstood?
