Problem with Scan Messing up "Recently Added"

Added new tv series to my library with 4 episodes in folder, so did manual scan to have Plex identify them .

Scan took abnormally long (circle still spinning approx 10 mins later) so I closed plex window in browser (all on local network) and logged back in a few minutes later and saw some tv series that I’ve had for years are showing up in “Recently Added” and I can’t determine how they are ordered, or why they are showing up there. It seem also to be re-downloading metadata for every tv series in my library

Can you provide a little more info?

How does the file structure look like? Does PMS point to a single folder on more for that Library?

Were those shows actually there but were never scanned before? Or is this stuff that was scanned before and now shows as recently added?

I have one folder for tv programs and that has not changed.

The shows were always there, some for many years, and displayed properly in my library. After manually scanning that one time (running Version 1.19.5.3112 currently) and I can’t recall this happening before. It also re-scanned metadata for all my tv shows and there were a couple that scan incorrectly (that have been in library for years) I had to manually fix the match.

Since the strange scan, episodes added within the tv programs folder are back to displaying in proper chronological order for “Recently Added”, but anything added prior to that scan from my original message is out of order
