I made the following mistakes:
Added a tv scanner agent that didn’t work too well
Removed and re-added a folder that wasn’t scanning properly as a result (compounded mistake)
Put the proper plex tv scanner back on top of the order in the settings (pow, started scanning and adding)
Now a bunch of art is missing. I’ve hit the scan button, the empty trash button, and the refresh metadata button, and much if not most of the art is stil gone.
What should I do?
And is there an easy way to change the order of “recently added”? These re-scanned folders are now showing “recently added” in an undesirable dumped order.
you’re best off uninstalling the broken agent that didn’t work well… then performing the following
Remove all shows from TV Directory.
Re-Scan
Empty Trash
Go to settngs>Troubleshooting and Clean Bundles + Optimize Database
Put all shows back into TV Directory and Re-Scan
Unforunately, this is going to clear all of your watch history, all of your “recently added” and things of that nature… But when you’ve already borked the system, it’s best to just reset it.
Watch History - through a design of elven magic - will remain intact through a Nuclear Holocaust. Not even The Plex Dance can kill it.
Recently Added is an annoyance brought about by adding things recently.
As much as we’d love to have some control over that - we don’t.
The odd missing poster/info is probably due to naming/structuring. Very recently when the big switch at TVDB happened, a side effect of that was if you don’t have a perfect file name and structure a natural match/re-match probably won’t happen.
Also in that Agent List - be sure Local Media Assets is at the bottom of the stack of active agents under all tabs in Shows and Movies.
You can Plex Dance the shows that aren’t matching - making sure to have perfect file names and structures - or you can Fix Match… if there aren’t too many.
