I use Plex for quite a while in my home network, and never struggled with any problems, but now I encounter an issue with video playback. On Plex Media Player video stream is not smooth it cuts quite often. But when I use a web player it works fine. Any one know what happens and how to repair it?
Switch PMP into its TV mode
Click on your user avatar,
Settings - Main
scroll down on the right side and toggle ‘Native OpenGL’
Restart PMP and see if there is some change.
Do also experiment with the settings under ‘Video’, namely ‘Hardware Decoding’ and ‘Sync Mode’
Another possible thing to do is to get an updated device driver software for the display adapter (GPU).
Thanks! it works, actually I didn’t know there is a different options set in tv mode and I was trying to find similar settings under PMP regular settings.
Toggling Native OpenGL also solved this problem for me, thanks!
