Having this weird issue where playback is pixelated (even on direct play, and no trans-coding)
It only happens on the Plex Media player program on windows, but not via web browser. Its watchable but the lines are not sharp. I have some 1 to 1 comparisons and there is a definite quality difference. Any ideas?
I made sure its playing back at original quality and not transcoding anything. Not sure what else to do really. can provide photos if needed
Try installing (updated) driver software for your graphics adapter, downloaded from its manufacturer.
Try toggling ‘Native OpenGL’ under Settings - Main
(only accessible in the ‘full screen mode’ of PMP)
Didn’t know Plex Media Player had a full-screen mode. I was having the same issue as OP.
I enabled the OpenGL and in PMP full-screen it looks good for me now.
Just saw there was an update for the PMP. Did that and tried the full screen suggestion and it worked! and now it even works when I’m not in full-screen! sweet
