Plex Media Player UI flickering (60 Hz, Display mode switching)

Hello,

I’m using the newest Plex Media Player on an Intel NUC which is connected via HDMI to my Samsung 4k TV.

Sadly the UI of my PMP is flickering when navigating through my content. Only the background of PMP is flickering.

I already have enabled the “Native OpenGL” setting. The problem only occurres if native OpenGL is enabled.

But I need to activate it, otherwise the setting “Display mode switching” is not working and my videos stutter.

Second problem: If display mode switching is activated, the UI is also flickers for a short moment when the refresh rate is changed. Sometimes I also can see the wallpaper of my desktop. That’s annoying. Is this normal?

How can I solve this problems? Any tips for me? Thank you in advance!

I’ve re-tested it now. With OpenGL disabled, the image jerks massively and is not viewable.

The only problem is that the background of the Plex Media Player flickers often. Not all the time, but when areas are left or entered.

All current updates of the graphics card are installed. Could a Plex employee comment on this?

Ok, found the problem: I used the --tv --fullscreen --scale-factor parameters and it seems these caused the flickering. I removed these parameters from the shortcut.
