The most appropriate ‘metadata’ to have in video files is NONE - unless there is a special use case - and hardly anyone requires one. Plex has decided that the ‘best’ place for Local Media Assets is at the Tip-Top of the list - making the use of MP4/M4V files impossible for most folks - but Plex still somehow (for at least 10 years now) is convinced they’re right and a million Users are wrong.
Do the LMA Hack - then you can remove embedded metadata, or not - and it won’t matter either way.
