I am having refresh issues with two of my Apple TV’s in the last few days. One started to display this error: https://i.imgur.com/DLraAAY.jpg I would hit Refresh and it would work. I would get it about once every day or two.
Now, none of my media refreshes and my server is unavailable.
I have tried to:
-Restart Apple TV and Plex Server
-Made sure all apps are updated
-Re-linked the Apple TV to my plex account
-Unauthorized and re-enabled ATV
-Restore Defaults from home screen and it doesnt work… sometimes it does this: https://i.imgur.com/yq6iw6v.jpg and does nothing.
-If i re-link my ATV, i am getting: Media Server-Remote and then if I wait a minute it says: Media Server-Unavailable
This has been working fine for months and just started this. I have not changed anything or messed with anything.
I could hopefully use all the help I can get… if anyone has any advice.
I cannot currently watch on my ATV’s.
I can watch on an Amazon Fire TV box, my iPhone, and on my server via the browser. All of that is working just fine. The Apple TV’s are not working currently.
First make sure your Apple TV and PLEX server are on the same network. Also do you have a static IP and port forwarding setup on your server? If you have all that setup properly, try deleting the app and reinstalling it.
Is the only solution here to downgrade? And if so, how would I go about doing that? I tried to run an older version installer but it fails because it can’t install due to a new version installed.
@Busaman_VA the system has been working flawlessly for about 3 years now and nothing has changed on the network. I also tried to delete the app and reinstall several times without success.
Couple other things today,… the amazon fire tv stopped working and I did a reconnect and it worked. One of the Apple TVs stated server unauthorized. I uninstalled plex app on the Apple TV and then reinstalled and re authorized with a new 4 digit pin and it worked.
I’m speechless and clueless as to the issue as things haven’t changed. Ohh well. Carry on thanks all!!
