Problems with live/recorded TV from HDHomerun to TCL C855K Android TV

Hi

I have been using Plex in conjunction with a number of devices, mobile phones, Apple TV, older TCL Android TV, Chromebook, etc with no particular problems. A few weeks ago I upgraded our living room TV to a TCL C855K Android (a beast!!) and get problems watching HDHomerun channels live where the picture randomly starts up and stutters contiuously and live or recorded where there are less then a second black screens interjected occacionally and randomly throughout. These can be reproduced if I wind the recorded programme back and replay, they will occur at the same points. I have tried everything I can think of so any help/advice would be appreciated?

Hi all

A quick update on this post. I have found that I can remove the problem whilst watching a live channel by changing the quality from ‘Play Original Quality’ to ‘Convert Automatically’ under the ‘HD’ setting when I press the down button. My subsequent question is, can I set it to do this permanently in the Google TV app instead of having to do it each time I change channel, I cant seem to find it anywhere?
