I am watching Plex through my Sony bd player. It's a great little blu-ray player with over 100 apps installed, including Plex!
I hook it up to my Plex server through DLNA and it works like a champ.... EXCEPT.
Every movie I have is either an .mp4 or .mkv file or .avi file or something like that. But when I view these movies through the Sony bd player some, only some of them, will show up on my Plex player as an .m2ts file.
These file types SUCK. I can hit the "play" button, "pause" buttun, no problem. But I can't fast forward or go back, etc. Sometimes trying to fast forward just causes Plex to crash.
I look at my video files on my computer and they all say mp4 or avi, etc. Yet when I watch them through Plex on this Sony player I some of them are now magically m2ts files.
I've even seen some movies start out as mp4 files, I watch half the movie, then the next day I go back to watch it again and now it's changed from an mp4 to an m2ts file and the problems continue.
Any thoughts?? Should I just buy a Roku? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? :)
