Problems with scanning getting progressively worse

For at least the last week now I’ve been having ever growing issues with PMS, ranging from not being able to add new media via scanning the library to not being able to play anything through the web player (All other players still work). My biggest concern is the adding of new media. For a while the only way I can get a scan to work correctly was to restart my PC and it would work initially then for a few minutes and then later on would not until I rebooted. Currently it doesn’t matter what I try to do, I can’t get any scan to work or update any metadata.

I am at a loss for what to do. I’ve tried uninstalling and rolling back to an older version that worked and not even that is helping.

Try plex dance

  • Clean bundle
  • empty trash
  • optimise database
    recreate new library to same folder, check if works better and remove the old one
