Program Guide "Is Unavailable" on Android Mobile App

Hi guys, just got my DVR set up and it is working flawless, I absolutely love it.

When I was testing the feature with 28 channels, the mobile app was working perfectly.

However, I’ve fully set up my DVR and increased the amount of channels to 84, when I select Live TV & DVR in the mobile app, it just says “Is unavailable” with a link to the https://status.plex.tv/ page.

Is there a limit to channel numbers/listings on the mobile app?

Thanks

EDIT: 84 channels not 200

I am getting the exact same error message on Live TV and DVR on my LG G5 - Android 7.0. I only have about 40 channels. Yet, it is working on my Samsung Tab E - Android 7.1.1

I think I might have a tablet lying around somewhere that I could test.

I thought it could have been related to Android 8.0 Oreo, but you are using Android 7.0.

It’s a real shame because that is the main reason I set up DVR.

Having the same issue.
Samsung Galaxy S9 with Android 8.0

Works fine on the household IPad and Plex media Player on Windows 10

These are the only logs I could find when the Android client is requesting the Live TV & DVR application

Only thing I can see here is a 404 status code when the request is complete? Here:

I have tested the following devices and it is working fine on all of them both locally and remotely:

  • Chrome Web
  • Xbox One App
  • PS4 App
  • iOS

Only Android affected

Ok, after more investigating it looks like it’s account related and I have a workaround.

The the TV guide loads when I am NOT on my own (admin) user.

If you are on the main admin user, the guide fails with the error mentioned above.

But, it Ioads and plays perfectly when I am on a “Managed User” account, ie. Someone who has been “granted” permission to use Live TV & DVR.

I cannot figure out why this is happening, but for now, I guess I can create a user called “Live TV” and access the guide from there.

Big pain in the a** still.

Plex please fix. . . .

I’m having same issue I’m away from home and wanna watch some live and plex says program guide unavailable. Check connection and status which is all good

Is their a fixxxx

I am also having this problem in Plex on iPhone

When I log in as me, admin user, “Houston we have a problem” error trying to load guide

But if I log in as any managed non admin user, no problem

Guide works under all users on all other platforms

This seems to be a bug?

Same issue here, any solution found?

So far my managed users can’t setup a new recording so using managed users doesn’t help too much.
