Progress bar not working on Windows player or web player

I have been having similar issues, trying to watch from windows. The computer has the media server and plex for windows app runnng directly on the server. I have a HDHOMERUN flex 4k, 4 tuner network device. If I am watching a show, and skip back, I can never skip forward. It believes it is live no mater how many times you skip back. If I close the player and re open it it goes to live. I feel like this used to work. I have been having problems for quite a while, probably a year. I kept hoping that every week when I get a notification that there is a new version, that this would be the time that this basic service would be restored. I came to the message boards tonignt hoping there was just a video setting somewhere in the menu that I had to switch and it would fix my frustration. It sounds like others are having the same issue and the workaround is not to use plex for windows, and use a roku. I will test my xbox app to see if that can playback better.

This is still not fixed.

after several updates, this is still a problem. Why is this so hard to fix?

I’ve done some testing and report the same disappointing result while watching via browser.

I can say that It seems fixed when viewing currently recording content via the Plex app running on CCwGTV. I’ve not done exhaustive testing but during the handful of tests the progress bar has maintained correct info and the skipping (FWD and BACK) worked perfectly.

PMS 1.31.1.6733 on Debian Linux
Plex app 9.17 on Chromecast with Google TV

Got a new update today, this problem still isn’t fixed. It used to work, but at some point it got broken and nobody seems to be interested in fixing it.
