Considering the very long and troubling history of Plex upgrades and the apparent inability to mass test changes prior to release why is there no easy option to reinstall the version you just updated?

April 2019? For something that actually exists but Plex chooses to hide for reasons best known to themselves is just appalling. You do realise they actively hide it I hope? Until recently you could follow the Plex download URL and extrapolate the full address if you knew the download you wanted, now any extrapolation just redirects to the base address.
They have a PPA but who wants to take the chance on a another bug ridden release. You can pretty much guarantee a minimum of one bad release per year. And there are so many releases, often multiple per month. Wine has multiple releases per month, the difference being that a problem in one release is normally fixed in 2 weeks.
