PS3: An Error Occurred

I have PlexPass and upon entering my PIN on the PS3, I always get the error: “An error occurred. Make sure server is online and the requested media is supported.”

I’m using the latest, updated versions of PS3 software, logged into PS Network, updated Plex client for PS3, latest version of Plex Server for Mac OS X, on the latest version of OS X. I can access my Plex server remotely on all my other devices. I can even use Plex fine on my PS4… the PS3 version just does not let me in even on the same network.

Any ideas?

Been getting the same issues on PS4, this morning I connected and couldn’t even connect to my own server even though it was online, it would only let me access shared libraries, when I went to play something it would spit out the error again or crash to the error report screen.

edit: still can’t connect to my server.

What a relief this is not just me that’s been having this issue. Tried signing out and back in again but nothing. At least I can access my files through the media server list but it’s not the same. Hope this gets fixed soon as it wasn’t an issue until recently.

Please check out your Plex Media Server logs when this happens. We show “An error occurred…” when the server failed to respond in time or had an error. Typically the server logs give us something to go on.

You can try optimizing your library, it sometimes helps when the server doesn’t respond in time.

Any help?

I’m getting the same error message on my PS3.
