PS4 can no longer see local P

Server Version#: Version 1.16.5.1488
Player Version#: Ver. 2.00

I have not been able to access my local Plex Media Server since the PS4 update today. I can however access a remote Plex Server just fine. I can also access my local PMS on my desktop and my android phone. Only the PS4 does not see the local Plex Media Server. It claims that it is offline or not available.

I have the same issue.

Same problem, server shows a triangle with exclamation mark, no error message, and the only button is to set default home screen which does nothing over and over.

same issue. Updated the app and now it can no longer reach the server.

EDIT: to clarify. PS4 does see the server but says it is unreachable or offline. Plex Server does see the PS4 under the authorized devices tab.

EDIT2: sorry about the second edit but I’d like to avoid IT Crowd comments. I’ve alredy signed out both sides, uninstalled, re-installed to the latest versions, resigned and relinked.

EDIT3: to add further details. I can reach the Plex server through the default ($hitty) PS4 Media Player app without issues. So, most probably not an issue with my network.

So… what I did is this.
Web client Plex server - settings - network - secure connections > disabled.

Now it works again.

Hi,
What work for me :

I went to Plex setting on the PS4 / confidentiality / connection media serveur / activate.

Not touch anything on the PC…

Why is it on “disable” in the default setting is out of my mind.
Back to business… apparently.

I did the same and after restarting the Server it worked but I would rather prefer having secure connection enabled to be fair.

You don’t need to disable secure connections. I was able to reconnect after manually specifying the IP address.

None of the servers are available and neither is my personal one

I was having the same issue here.
I did both:

Web client Plex server - settings - network - secure connections > disabled.
Restarted both server and PS4 client, now it works.

Couldn’t hurt to list what router y’all are using to see if there are any similarities. I remember years ago I had to make some unique settings with a router running Tomato to get local access to work. Surely Plex tested PS4 before releasing the update, so maybe you all have something in common that Plex didn’t test.

I’d not be happy with insecure connections either.

I’m having the same issue, before the 2.0 version it was working fine, but after the update nothing works, only some minimal UI loads, and I can’t even change the settings inside the app, because the whole UI gets frozen…
