PS4 error code "requires media server 1.51.1"

Hey guys,

as a newbie I was hoping that someone can help me out. Just recently I started having connection issues on the PS4 with the above error code.

I thought if I followed the instructions from here it would work, but it didn’t: Plex user with the same issue

After I cleaned up and deleted several PS4 entries and was left with only one that says 3.98.0 it still doesn’t work and I keep getting the same error code. I tried variations of this with deleting the Plex app and also simply logging out and restarting the PS4 but nothing.

Any ideas? It used to work for a long time without issues and this just started happening just now.

Turns out there was indeed a server issue where there was still an “authorised server” with version 1.3.

Works now.
