Been playing with the preview and haven’t had play back issues yet. My only complaint is the uniformity.

  1. If you have a TV or Movie library, the posters are displayed Portrait style. The “Other Videos” library shows the posters in landscape, so they don’t match. I use collections a lot, so I have matching poster art in Movies/TV and Other Videos and now in that section they are cut off the top and bottom so it looks bad. I think the video content should be uniform when displaying the libraries.

  2. If you have a collection of MOVIES and click into, they are displayed like a new library you can scroll down. This is GREAT!. All the video libraries/collections work like this.
    In MUSIC, when you click on an album artist, the albums are displayed as a ribbon you have to scroll across. This is fine if you have 5 albums. I have 100+ albums for many artists and this is an awful way to casually browse their albums. It should be displayed more uniform like the video libraries.

Music has lost a lot of features. When you play music, it will default to the regular PLEX screensaver which isn’t prefered when the previous version would show the album art and what was playing next, then flop them to either side of the screen as a screen saver. I hope that returns

Also, we’ve lost library radio options on the RECOMMENDED screen. That means there’s no way to pick a RANDOM ALBUM, a feature I use all the time due to having a large library. Closest option is to shuffle play the library, and if something grabs you, go into the album to play it. Which is now less intuitive due to the screensaver issue.

PLEXAmp has a lot of neat features, I’m hoping they will be part of this app, currently a lot of this feels like a step back from what we had, generally showing less information with less options and lookin old.

Where can we get a copy?
My PS4 doesnt play my Plex library files no matter what format (FLAC or MP3).
All my other devices work fine with Plex ad can stream anything I throw at it.
The Plex version on the PS4 I have seems really old (May 2019) so its definitely in need of an update.
