I run Plex on my PS4 connected to my synology NAS. When I whatch movies with DTS it seems to work, at least on the receiver it says DTS. I thought that DTS is not supported from PS4, also the native PS4 Mediaserver can not play that movies. Is plex transcoding DTS into something which my receiver understand as DTS or is it now possible to stream DTS in direct stream on a PS4?

Denon AVR-X4300H Receiver
Samsung 4K UHD TV
And what is about Dolby True HD and DTS HD, can the PS4 handle that?

No, I been told that the native media player is running better codecs than Plex and therefore dosen’t support DTS. Latest update did however fix better video support PS4’s Media Player v2.50 update: 360° video and photos, FLAC and upscaled music support – PlayStation.Blog
PS4 Pro here plays DTS fine via Plex - just no DTS-MA or Dolby True HD - a PS4 limitation.
