On the PlayStation 5 720P will play when set on original but will do hardware transcoding on the server. 1080i and 1080p is hit or miss, weather set to original or dropping it down to a lower number like 4 megabits. Most of the time it’ll just sit at the initial buffering screen and do nothing except for cause spikes on the server Network traffic dashboard. I know it’s new so initial problems are to be expected. Just can’t wait to have my PS5 as my go-to console for gaming and Plex and not have to have multiple devices. Plus be able to take advantage of the PS5 media remote! Thank you
