Purchased "Plex Pass" on Google Play Store - Can't use on iOS? [SOLVED]

[EDIT: Simply signed out of app on device in question, signed in again using email address and password instead of using Google to sign in, and it seems to have fixed the issue.]

Hello,

I purchased Plex Pass through the Google Play Store, and when I go to sign in to other devices, it says that my Plex Pass is tied to the Play Store and has nothing to do with iOS.

I have contacted Google, and they said that the issue is out of their hands, and they sent me to Plex Support, which turned out to be an non-monitored, auto-reply inbox.

It looks like if I had simply purchased it through the Plex website instead of the Play Store, this would not be an issue.

I found this article that basically says that I purchased it the “wrong way”…

Any help on how to obtain a refund and purchase it the “right way” would be appreciated.

What is the exact issue you have?
you’re listet here as a Plex Pass member… so when you use any client and login with your Plex Account, you’ll have all the benefits of Plex Pass (including having the app unlocked/activated).

As a Plex Pass member you don’t have to additionally activate the app with a 5$ one-time activation fee. It’s included in your Plex Pass membership. If you don’t have Plex Pass membership but want to use the various clients without restrictions, you can buy the 1-time activation which is a per-platform thing (extra activation required for iOS and Android)… however that’s not required as you already have your Plex Pass.

Do you login on both devices with the same account?
